Prototype testing and development is ongoing during early 2012, so WeatherVelos are not yet available to buy.

Accordingly, prices have yet to be determined. As as indication: starting with low volume production would mean that the purchase price for a complete WeatherVelo is likely to be roughly equivalent to that of a motorbike.

It is possible that the WeatherVelo MODE will be available to buy in stages to enable customers to spread the cost: trike, electric assistance, luggage box, front fairing and main fairing are separate modules.

The WeatherVelo PRIME has a different construction and would be sold complete.

If you would like to register your interest in advance, please email info@weathervelo.com to be notified when prices are known and orders can be placed.

WeatherVelo running cost savings: no petrol/diesel to buy, zero-rated vehicle excise duty, no congestion charge in London. With the outright purchase of any electric vehicle, you are effectively paying for your fuel supply in advance by buying the battery. WeatherVelos are very lightweight compared to cars, so require correspondingly smaller (less expensive) batteries. Charging costs are measured in pennies, using a standard domestic socket. London and other British cities are now also equipped with on-street charging bays: see www.ev-network.org.uk and www.elektromotive.com/html/network.php and www.sourcelondon.net.

Investors: if you would like to consider providing finance to complete the prototyping phase, with a view to facilitating production of WeatherVelos, please get in touch to discuss your interest. Economies of scale would bring down the unit price for each vehicle, thus stimulating greater sales.
